Introduction
Water that has been decanted, filtered (including aeration filtration with membrane filter, cartridge filter, and activated carbon filter), demineralized, mineralized, and reverse osmosed from a variety of sources, including surface, land, and sea water. Before being packed, the bottled water is disinfected to ensure that it does not become polluted before being consumed. The packed drinking water must be filled into sealed containers of different compositions, forms, and capacities that are appropriate for immediate consumption without treatment. If demineralization is needed as part of the treatment, the ingredients used must be of food-grade quality and meet the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India's requirements and regulations.

PET
PET, also known as PETE or Polyethylene Terephthalate, is a solid, rigid synthetic fiber derived from ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid. PET is used in almost every plastic water bottle on the planet. But what are the characteristics that make it such an excellent food packaging material? PET containers are not only lightweight, but they also do not react biologically with food. Apart from that, PET is a durable, non-reactive, cost-effective, and shatterproof material that is likely to save the day. PET's protection in food, beverage, and personal care products, as well as pharmaceutical and medical applications, has been acknowledged by health authorities all over the world. One of the main reasons why many manufacturers choose PET is that it is 100% recyclable and highly sustainable. It can be recovered and recycled several times –– into personal care product tubes, carpet and clothing fibres, vehicle components, building materials, industrial strapping, and other packaging materials, for example.
Uses
Mineral water is derived from natural underground pools and mineral springs, and it contains more minerals than tap water. Mineral water must have at least 250 parts per million of total dissolved solids, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Minerals are not allowed to be added to these products by the FDA.
Minerals that are often present in mineral water include:
· Calcium
· Magnesium
· Potassium
· Sodium
· Bicarbonate
· Iron
· Zinc
Mineral water is bottled at the source, unlike tap water. Mineral water is preferred by some people because of its perceived purity and lack of chemical disinfection treatments. Mineral water, on the other hand, can be subjected to some refining. Add or removing carbon dioxide (CO2) gas, as well as poisonous substances like arsenic, are examples of this. In mineral water, CO2 helps to prevent oxidation and bacterial growth. The CO2 in naturally carbonated water comes from the source. Manufacturers may also add CO2 to their water after it has been extracted.

Manufacturing
WHERE DOES THE WATER COME FROM?
Water from the tap goes through its own purification process, which is supervised by the FDA. The water must be purified to the point that it is considered suitable for human consumption. You are not alone if you are concerned about the safety of the water. Nowadays, filtration systems are extremely common. Filtering systems have now become very inexpensive as a result of the variety of options available. The water you're drinking is called "artesian" because it came from an artesian well. You've always heard of spring water! This is a well-known name. This indicates that the water you're drinking is from a safe, underground source. The water you drink from the bottle would be very similar to where it came from!
PURIFICATION
The purification stage of the water bottle manufacturing process is unquestionably one of the most crucial. This is where impurities in the water are extracted using different methods. The manner in which such waters are filtered is determined by the source of the water. In the water bottle manufacturing process, filtration is considered a treatment. Microorganisms and sediment are kept out of the water by filtering it through tiny holes. Although water goes through such a thorough cleaning process, it can still be polluted in other ways. To learn more about what else needs to be considered in keeping the water you drink safe, go to the fifth stage.

OPTIONAL CO2 ADDITION
CO2 is naturally present in natural sparkling spring water. The water's CO2 level cannot be tampered with too much in order for it to keep its "natural sparkling spring water" name. This ensures that if the water loses its natural lustre, CO2 can be poured back in to restore it. The natural sparkling spring water can lose a lot of CO2 during the water bottle manufacturing process, but manufacturers are not permitted to add any more CO2 than what occurs naturally in the water. Regardless, CO2 can be applied to water to produce sparkling water.
SOURCING THE BOTTLES
Water bottles are chosen based on the materials used and the intended use. Some water bottles are made of glass, similar to wine bottles. Some of them are encrusted with Swarovski crystals, resulting in exorbitant prices.
THE BOTTLES ARE BEING PURIFIED
Consider how good the water is purified, eliminating all impurities. Your water is pure and free of bacteria and sediment. When you go to pour your clean water, you notice something strange: gross particles have entered your pure water! The purification of water bottles is crucial in the production of water bottles. It would be such a waste to have your water washed just to have it polluted by improperly cleaned bottles!

FILLING THE BOTTLES
During this stage of the water bottle manufacturing process, bottled water is carefully filled to ensure that no impurities are introduced. Water nozzles from big machines fill your glass to the brim. The system that is used is determined by the type of bottle. In step 5, we stressed the importance of getting clean bottles. In the water bottle guy, this step is equally necessary.
LABELING
You will reveal where the water came from and what was done to it in this phase of the water bottle manufacturing process. Naturally sparkling spring water is spring water that contains naturally occurring carbon monoxide. This water should lose its natural lustre during the washing process. The CO2 would be introduced back into the water in this case; however, the CO2 must be at the same levels as before– no more than it produces naturally. These identifiers are put on the bottle during the labelling process so that the customer knows where their water comes from and what has been done to it.
Market in India
From its current value of INR 160 billion, the market is projected to hit INR 403.06 billion by the end of 2023, growing at a CAGR of 20.75 percent from 2018. According to volume, the demand is expected to hit 35.53 billion liters by 2023, with a CAGR of 18.25% from 2018 to 2023.
Market Research: - Market Research Report
The growth of the bottled water market in India is due to rising health issues and a lack of safe drinking water. Bislery, Kinley, and Aquafina are the most popular bottled water brands in India. One-liter bottles, two-liter bottles, 500 milliliter bottles, 250 milliliter bottles, pouches, and barrels of 15-20 liters are the four major SKUs for bottled water in India. In 2018, one-liter bottles had the largest market share (42%) among the different SKUs, followed by 500 milliliter bottles and 250 milliliter bottles. In India, flavoured bottled water has become famous. Soda, cola, juice, and other sweetened drinks often serve as a replacement for plain water since they contain fruit essence and artificial sweeteners. Flavored bottled water is also preferred over regular bottled water. This change is creating an opportunity for bottled water manufacturers in India to extend their product line. Apart from individual sales, Indian market players have recently shifted their focus to institutional sales through partnerships with airlines, movie theatres, and hotels. Such collaborations ultimately lead to a higher penetration of the commodity in the industry, as well as an increase in overall sales volume in India.
