EssentialOil Processing Unit Establishment Plan. Essential Oil Extraction (Lemongrass,Citronella, Lavender, Rosemary and Peppermint)
An essential oil may be a concentratedhydrophobic liquid containing volatile (easily evaporated at normal temperatures)chemical compounds from plants. Essential oils also are referred to as volatileoils, ethereal oils, aetherolea, or just because the oil of the plant fromwhich they were extracted, such as oil of clove. An essential oil is"essential" within the sense that it contains the "essenceof" the plant's fragrance—the characteristic fragrance of the plant fromwhich it's derived. The term "essential" used here doesn't meanindispensable or usable by the human body, like the terms essential amino acidor essential fatty acid, which are so called because they're nutritionallyrequired by a given living organism.
