INVESTMENT LIMIT ENHANCED 
FROM RS.1 CRORE TO RS.5 CRORE
Development Commissioner (Small Scale Industries) has enhanced the investment limit for (i) 69 items reserved for exclusive manufacture by small scale industries (SSI) Sector and (ii) all items in the drugs and pharmaceuticals sector. The enhancement of investment limit in plant and machinery from Rs.1 crore to Rs.5 crore in respect of (i) 69 items reserved for exclusive manufacture in SSI sector and (ii) all the items (whether reserved or not) in the Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Sector. 

The 69 items are in addition to the 71 items, wherein the investment limit in plant and machinery has already been enhanced from Rs.1 crore to Rs.5 crore vide notifications issued from time to time. A comprehensive list of such 140 (69+71) items is also given bleow.
