Guar  in India

·         India is the largest producer of the guar and contributes about 80% of the world’s total production.

·         Guar seed is mainly grown in the parts of the country like Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab. Rajasthan is the largest producer of guar contributing 70 % of total production remaining coming from Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh.                

·         Shri Ganganagar, Hissar, Alwar, Sirsa, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Jaipur, Mehsana, Ahmadabad are the major markets for Guar seed in India.
