DESCRIPTION
They act as an institutional mechanism for providing various services including information on all aspects of enterprise building to potential S&T entrepreneurs. Also they create entrepreneurial culture, promote objectives of NSTEDB and programmes related to women & weaker sections. They foster better linkages between parent institution, industries, R&D institutions, NGOs and other related organisations of the region engaged in the promotion of MSMEs.
NATURE OF ASSISTANCE
Financial assistance to the institution selected for establishment of ED cells, for meeting recurring expenditure (Manpower cost, travel, training and contingencies, etc.) of the EDC, for up to five full operational years. However, financial assistance would be in project mode on a year-to-year basis, based on successful implementation of EDC project.
NSTEDB also provides limited one-time non-recurring financial assistance, up to a maximum of Rs.7 lakh, required for purchase of PC with printer, UPS, library books, journals, laptop, photocopier, multimedia projector, office communication equipments like fax and scanner.
WHO CAN APPLY
University/deemed university or a premier institute/college offering engineering, technology, science & management courses for the past 5 years
HOW TO APPLY
The institution/university shall submit proposal for setting up of an EDC as per proforma.
