Polyester Texturised yarns are made of recycled materials and they can be made from bottles, rags or any kind of waste fabric. The process that produces textured yarns makes it more durable, stronger and resistant to abrasion than regular yarns used in the industry. The majority of fabrics used in sportswear, as well as in outdoor apparel, are made from polyester texturised yarns. Polyester Texturised Yarn, also known as polyester filament, polyester filaments, or polyester staple fibre, is a tightly woven yarn that has been texturized with finer filament cones. High Tenacity (HT) and High Twist (HT) are two subcategories of polyester texturised yarn (HT). HTY has the most tenacity and twist, while HTY and HTY are well balanced in terms of tenacity and twist. Polyester texturised yarn (also known as PT yarn) is a form of fabric that has the appearance and feel of cotton.

Benefit of starting Polyester Texturised Yarn from Used Pet Bottle business
1) Extra income: - By creating a pet bottle yarn business, you can use your extra time to create even more extra income. Use your spare time to knitting or crocheting. Get better at accounting by managing your expenses and profits. Stretch yourself by teaching yourself how to design patterns and make samples; maybe eventually you could teach others how to create their own pet bottle yarn products.

2) No pollution: - Plastic is a non-biodegradable material and does not decompose easily. It does not harm living creatures, but harms their environment by building up as a trash in landfills and rivers. Waste plastics are also detrimental to marine life as they get entangled in fishing nets or confuse them for food, causing death.

3) High Demand Market: - There is huge demand for polyester texturised yarn. In fact, just consider that nearly 50 billion PET bottles are produced each year around the world, and more than half of those end up in landfills. Consumers are starting to demand less wasteful products, and retailers are looking for ways to reduce their environmental footprint. Therefore, used PET bottles represent a valuable resource with a big market opportunity.

Manufacturing Process:
To prepare PET bottle yarn, firstly, bottles are crushed and shredded. The plastic resin is poured into a hopper, where it is melted and extruded through an orifice at high pressure. The molten PET flows from an orifice and solidifies into strands of cross-section which will ultimately form single-strand yarn. At one end, it goes through a set of rubber rolls that impart desired crimp while smoothing out any irregularities on yarn surface. At both ends lies another pair of pairs which serve as draw rolls that pull out any excess length but leave the crimp intact.

These extrusions can be further drawn (under different setting) to increase their diameter by about three times for better use as textile product even if they were used as fabric before. The dyed single-strand yarn emerges from dye bath and quickly gets wound onto a reel. It is then taken over to washing machines; it is washed with mild soap solution, rinsed with water, dried and packed ready for shipment.
